Green Bay’s new leader is officially on the job.
Mayor Eric Genrich was sworn in during a ceremony this afternoon at the Brown County Courthouse.
Genrich says one of his top priorities to keep things civil at City Hall. He wants people to work together and serve honorably.
Genrich is taking over for longtime Mayor Jim Schmitt. Schmitt didn’t run for another term after 16 years in office.
Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach was also sworn in for his third, four-year term.
