An Oshkosh man is getting a chance to see a plane that he flew in Vietnam.
Neil Hansen ran secret missions for the CIA from 1964 to 1969 and wrote a book about his life.
Dan Fulwiler restores and sells old planes at the Austin Straubel International Airport. He bought a plane that was rebuilt with the tail section and right wing of the plane Hansen flew.
Fulwiler met Hansen at a book signing. He invited Hansen to his hanger to sign the baggage door of the plane. Hansen also left a signed copy of his book. Fulwiler says it’s a way for the history of the plane to stay with it if he sells it again.
Hansen says seeing the plane was like visiting an old friend.
