Brown County officials are asking victims of crimes that are owed restitution to update their address.
The county started working with a different company to collect the debt and they’ve brought in about $97,000 since last October.
Brown County Court Clerk John Vander Leest says it typically takes an entire year to get that much. He says they’re having some trouble finding the victims.
Vander Leest says they’re working with sheriff’s deputies to find the recipients of larger checks.
People can update their address by calling the county clerk’s office or going to the county’s website.
