A Chilton man lead Fond du Lac County deputies and Fond du Lac police on an eight mile chase that started at 98 mph.
Officials say a deputy saw the 39-year-old driving at the high speed on Highway 151, near Highland Park Road, in the Town of Calumet around 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
The man wouldn’t pull over and used the shoulder to pass other cars.
He exited at Johnson Street, and deputies say while he slowed to the speed limit, he wouldn’t pull over until deputies and police made a road block.
They say he was drunk and had four children, all under 14 years old, in the car with him.
Deputies say they followed the man for eight miles.
