A UW-Madison graduate was among the hundreds killed in the attacks in Sri Lanka.
Dieter Kowalski was living in Denver, and he worked for an international education company called Pearson.
CEO John Fallon says Kowalski was big-hearted, and he helped figure out the most challenging engineering problems. He says the 40-year-old Kowalski had just arrived at his hotel in Colombo, when he died in one of the explosions.
