There’s a new president of the Appleton city council, and he’ll have to help with a transition period.
The council picked Ald. Kyle Lobner to take over the top position.
It comes after three longtime members, each with between 10 and 17 years of experience, didn’t run for re-election. Ed Baranowski, Curt Konetzke, and Kathy Plank left office earlier this month.
Lobner says he also wants to make sure the community learns about the various issues the council will take up. He says it’s important to get information out there, and to take steps against any misinformation.
Lobner expects there will be some complicated things to consider over the next year, and difficult decisions to make.
