The sturgeon spawning season is underway on the Wolf River, and the upper Fox River.
DNR sturgeon expert Ryan Koenigs says spotters saw fish in the New London area yesterday, and in some spots along the upper Fox River. He expects fish will be in the Bamboo Bend area in Shiocton too.
Koenigs says the high water levels could impact how close people can get to the sturgeon, if they stop out to see the fish spawn.
