The first bill Governor Evers is signing removes the term “mental retardation” from state agency rules and regulations.
He held a ceremony this morning in the Capitol rotunda.
Evers says he’s proud, because the changes reflect “shared values.” He previously issued an executive order to take the same steps, and that angered the Republican authors of the bill.
