Governor Evers isn’t concerned about the state Supreme Court’s ruling to restore 82 appointments from last year’s lame-duck session.
Justices ruled 4-to-3 that the appointees can return to their positions, while a lawsuit continues.
Evers says there’s no question they’ll follow the court’s ruling. He’s confident the state Supreme Court will eventually overturn the actions during the lame-duck session.
Evers points out that most of the appointments by former Republican Governor Scott Walker were for positions on state boards and councils. Two of them are members of the UW System Board of Regents, and one is one the Public Service Commission.
