Brown County Sheriff’s deputies think the suspect in an overnight arson fire at a church in Allouez was involved in several incidents.
Capt. Jody Lemmens says the 18-year-old Green Bay suspect threw a large chair at the front door of a home around 3:30 a.m. today. Someone inside woke up when the man rang the doorbell. Lemmens says the suspect told the homeowner to call police, and he took off toward the Fox River Trail.
She says the man is also suspected of throwing a wine bottle through the window of a home around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators say the small arson fires at St. Matthew Catholic Church were started around 1:45 a.m. today. Lemmens says they don’t have a motive yet.
