Police across the state collected more than 58,000 pounds of unused prescription drugs during last Saturday’s Drug Take Back Day.
The total is about 15 percent lower than last year’s record total of 68,000.
Attorney General Josh Kaul says there were more than 190 collection events in the state last Saturday. He points out there are also more than 450 permanent drug disposal boxes in Wisconsin.
