People will have to slow down on a stretch of Highway CE, between Kimberly and Kaukauna, starting next month.
Outagamie County Highway Engineer Andy Rowell says they’re going to lower the speed limit from 55 to 45 miles an hour.
It’s part of the county’s effort to reduce the number of crashes on that stretch. He believes adding a roundabout at DeBruin Road also helped, because they’ve seen a decrease in the last year or so.
He believes the barriers at the Buchanan Road intersection are also helping with that. People can’t make left turns there anymore.
The speed limit between Highways 441 and N will stay at 40 miles an hour.
