Fire destroys a popular downtown Oshkosh bar.
Crews were called to Mabel Murphy’s along Main Street around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday to find smoke and flames coming from the building. The building collapsed about an hour later.
Fire department officials believe it started in a neighboring building, and then spread to the bar.
Four people in the building next door were able to escape safely.
Both Main and Irving Avenue were closed to traffic this morning. No word yet on the cause of the fire.
