The newly-consolidated homeless services agency in the Fox Cities is helping a record number of people.
Pillars is reporting more than 1,200 people needed temporary shelter last year. Another 500 received support so they would have stable housing.
Scott Peeples of Pillars believes the issue is bigger in the Fox Cities than ever before. But he thinks the merger is creating efficiencies to help people get housing sooner.
Pillars was founded last October, when the Fox Valley Warming Shelter, Homeless Connections, and the Housing Partnership of the Fox Cities joined forces.
