Hoffmaster is buying the British-based Paper Straw Company.
A ban on single-use plastic straws in the European Union and United Kingdom will go into effect in two years. That’s expected to greatly increase the demand for paper straws.
Hoffmaster also bought an Indiana-based straw maker last year.
