Fox Crossing’s former municipal judge is accused of violating a restraining order.
Winnebago County prosecutors are charging Len Kachinsky with three misdemeanor counts. He was in court this morning for an initial appearance.
Prosecutors say he sent emails to his former court manager. She got the restraining order last year, and Kachinsky was charged with felony stalking. A jury later found him not guilty.
The state Supreme Court suspended Kachinsky, and he didn’t run for re-election this spring.
Kachinsky contends the emails were related to court business, so they didn’t violate the restraining order.
