It took seven rounds of voting, but the Oshkosh Common Council is finally filling a vacant seat.
Bill Miller will take the spot opened by Lori Palmeri’s election as Mayor. Miller says he never considered running for the Council before, because he believes members have been doing a pretty good job. He just wants to help keep moving the ball down the field.
Miller currently sits on the Oshkosh Advisory Parks Board. He’ll serve a term that expires in April of next year.
Fourteen people applied for the open Council seat. The list included former mayor Paul Esslinger.
