A local healthcare provider is starting a new campaign to teach patients more about opioids.
ThedaCare Chief Medical Officer Doctor Jennifer Frank says they want to start a conversation about abuse and misuse of the drugs. She wants people to understand the safety concerns with opioids.
Frank says doctors also follow guidelines set by the federal and state government when prescribing opioids. She says they also have regular drug screens and connect patients with treatment if needed.
