Republicans want to set aside a projected revenue surplus in the next state budget.
The state is looking at $753 million in additional tax receipts over the next two years.

Governor Evers is proposing to spend $55 million of it to reduce debt, and another $33 million on technical colleges and training programs. The windfall was created by changes in federal tax collections.
