Workers from a hospice company are trying to learn from veterans on how to better connect with their patients.
Tracy Rosinski is the Regional Veteran Liaison at Heartland Hospice in De Pere. She says many patients haven’t talked about their experiences in 40-to-50 years. She wants them to be able to open up to start healing.
Three Vietnam veterans talked with staff. They recently spent two weeks on an Old Glory Honor Flight back to Vietnam. They say just sitting down and showing people they’re interested in hearing their story will make a difference.
