Oshkosh police say there’s a warrant out for a 30-year-old man who went missing last week.
Andrew Hildebrand is wanted on a charge of first-degree sexual assault of a child. His van was found by a boat landing along Auburn Lake in Fond du Lac County one week ago.
Oshkosh police say the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department searched the area on the ground and from the air, but deputies didn’t find him. They say Hildebrand is familiar with the Kettle Moraine State Forest area, and they believe he has a rifle with him.
He disappeared after Oshkosh police interviewed him about an incident in the 800 block of Cherry Street in the UW-Oshkosh campus area, two days before his van was found.
