Some people in Appleton joined thousands across the country yesterday to protest abortion laws in several states.
The rally was along College Avenue outside the Lawrence University Memorial Chapel.
Anna Kallay is a freshman at the college. She wanted to show that even people in smaller communities care about these issues.
Alex Medina is a sophomore. He says it’s about fighting for things that will have long-lasting effects.
There were also several anti-abortion protesters at the event.
