The City of Oshkosh is getting a $1.5 million grant to build a permanent road to the Transload Transfer Facility in its Southwest Industrial Park.
The Federal Economic Development Administration is giving the city the money, and City Manager Mark Rohloff says they’re ready to match. He says the plan is to build a loop from Clairville Road to the Transload facility and back to Clairville Road.
Since the Oshkosh Transload Facility opened last summer, trucks have had to use a gravel road to reach the special rail spur built for the industrial park.
The project should be completed this year.
