Waupaca County Sheriff’s deputies have a third man in custody in connection to a homemade explosive that killed an Illinois man.
They arrested a 60-year-old Marion man on a possible charge of homicide by negligent handling of explosives. A 38-year-old New London man and a 43-year-old man from Clintonville are also in custody on the same potential charge.
Investigators say a 44-year-old man died Sunday in the Marion area. They say a homemade explosive device didn’t go off properly and metal tubing exploded. They say the shrapnel hit the victim.
