A landmark in Oshkosh’s Menominee Park is going away.
The Common Council is on board with a plan to sell the carousel that’s been in the amusement park area for more than 25 years.
City Manager Mark Rohloff says it’s is impossible to keep it running. He says it is beyond repair, and parts are hard to come by. The cost to renovate the carousel would be more than $125,000.
The city will sell the various parts, and all of the revenue will go toward buying new equipment in Menominee Park.
