After a record-breaking fundraiser, a local fire department is donating all the money to the family of a fallen firefighter.
Harrison Fire Rescue presented a $10,000 check for the family of Appleton firefighter Mitch Lundgaard, at the Appleton fire department yesterday. He was killed in the line of duty last month.
Two weeks ago, the Harrison fire department held its annual brat fry fundraiser. The department typically brings in about $1,000.
The community responded, after finding out the money would go to the Lundgaard family.
