It looks like part of the mill tower building from the former Kimberly paper mill could be coming down later this year.
Village Administrator Dani Block says a developer is still working with engineers. She says the developer wants to keep the historical structures near the riverfront, and the large tower will likely be demolished in the fall or winter.
Block says the uses for the tower are very narrow, so it’s probably not worth the investment to renovate it. She says engineers are analyzing the remaining buildings to figure out how high the developer could build on top of them.
