A local school is hoping to fill some job openings in the trucking industry by revamping its program.
Students can now finish the 10-week course at Fox Valley Technical College in eight weeks.
Program Chair Rob Behnke says they’re offering more classes online. He says they also made changes to their behind-the-wheel training. He says they can hone in on specific skills and work more efficiently with students.
Fox Valley Tech now hopes to put about 200 new drivers on the road each year.
