Fond du Lac police say a man with a knife is holding children inside a home, on the city’s northeast side.
Capt. Jason Laridaen says they got a call around 4:15 a.m. about a 28-year-old man who was acting suspiciously.
Laridaen says the SWAT team and negotiators are on the scene of the home in the 100 block of E. Johnson Street.
He says Johnson Street is closed between Main Street and Park Avenue.
People who live in the area are being asked to shelter in place.
Everyone else is being asked to avoid the area.
