A 46-year-old man from the Suring area is guilty of the murder of a Bellevue woman.
Prosecutors believe Anthony Kitchenakow killed 52-year-old Suzette Langlois over a drug debt in August of 2016. He entered an Alford plea. That means Kitchenakow doesn’t admit he’s guilty but he understands there’s enough evidence for a jury to convict him.
Brown County Judge John Zakowski found him guilty of first-degree reckless homicide. He says there’s strong evidence of guilt, and a basis for accepting the Alford plea based on the probable cause portion of the criminal complaint.
Prosecutors say Langlois’ boyfriend owed money and both were involved with drugs. They say DNA connects Kitchenakow to the scene and the gun that was used to shoot Langlois. He was arrested last September two years after the murder.
