A 24-year-old Oshkosh man is dead after he was hit while walking on I-41 early this morning.
Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies say the man was in the southbound lanes near the South Park Avenue exit around 2:45 a.m. They say he was hit by a semi.
The semi driver was a 55-year-old man from Van Dyne. Investigators say he wasn’t hurt and he’s cooperating with the investigation. They don’t believe alcohol or drugs were a factor with the driver.
