The City of Oshkosh is looking at a new way to reduce the impact of special assessments on property owners.
City Manager Mark Rohloff says they’re working on a monthly “transportation fee”.
That would be per month and it would be included in monthly water bills. The proposed fee would bring in more than $3 million a year. The city would use that to pay for rebuilding streets and sidewalks. Homeowners would still be assessed for utility work.
The Oshkosh Common Council will be briefed on the transportation fee plan tonight.
