Neenah police believe a teenage boy accidentally shot himself, while he was in a parking lot, on the city’s south side.
Sgt. Chad Gruenstern says officers went to the 300 block of Stanley Court around 4 p.m. on Tuesday. He says a neighbor called police after hearing the gunshot, and someone saying he had shot himself.
The wound is not life-threatening. Gruenstern believes the teen wasn’t handling the gun properly.
