A study to determine how people in Green Bay like to get around the city is done.
The city and the Green Bay Public School District collaborated on the first-of-it’s-kind study for the area.
The idea is to figure out where Green Bay can do better when it comes to safe walking and biking paths.
Transportation manager for the school district, Jeremy Wildenberg, says the study also looked at the needs of each school in the district based on how safe it is for students to get to and from school and how likely it is students will bike or walk.
The school board approved the plan last night and the city council will get their chance to weight in tonight.
The plan makes the city and school district eligible to apply for state and federal funding.
