One couple is speaking out after the owners of a wedding venue pulled the plug on their reception.
Amber Sanders and Emmitt White of Appleton are getting married July 13th and were suppose to have their reception at the Darboy Club at Highway KK and Highway N.
Sanders says she got a call from one of the owners saying they were closing at the end of this month.
The couple booked the venue in December.
Sanders says she saw some red flags a few months later when her phone calls or e-mails weren’t being returned.
White feels the owners should have handled the situation differently and warned the couple months ago.
Mark Tatro and Randall Ashauer have owned the Darboy Club for more than two decades.
Tatro is citing economic reasons for the decision.
