Investigators believe they caught the ringleader in a drug case in the Green Bay area.
Brown County prosecutors say 36-year-old Ruben Ortiz was selling large amounts of heroin, fentanyl, cocaine, and marijuana. They say family members and friends helped, including his 17-year-old son.
His sister, Stephanie Ortiz, is the co-founder of Black Lives United in Green Bay. She’s accused of helping sell drugs, and buy luxury cars.
Thirty-seven-year-old Jonathan Patton is also facing charges in the case. He’s the brother of former Packers player Charles Woodson, and the owner of a bar in downtown Green Bay.
