Brown County Sheriff’s deputies say they’re getting a lot of calls about speeding motorcyclists.
Captain Dan Sandberg says some people are driving over 100 miles per hour. He says it’s especially bad on Nicolet Drive where the road curves along the bay. But Sandberg says it happens all over. He says people reported seeing motorcyclists popping wheelies as they pass cars on I-41.
Sandberg says they now have a zero-tolerance policy. Deputies won’t chase speeders for safety reasons. Instead, they’ll get license plate numbers and hand out large fines. Sandberg says some motorcyclists have even had their licenses suspended.
