A street on the west side of Oshkosh could have bike lanes later this summer.
The Common Council will vote tonight on plans for Oakwood Road between 9th and 20th streets.
City Manager Mark Rohloff says they would paint the designated bike lanes, along with parking lanes, on both sides of the street. He says there’s not enough traffic to make it a two-lane road in both directions. He says people support the idea because it’s much safer than a wide open road.
Rohloff says if council members support the plan, crews will paint the new lane lines this summer.
