Part of another street in downtown Appleton is now a two-way road.
City spokesman Chad Doran says they converted Morrison Street north of College Avenue yesterday afternoon. He says they were making the new pavement markings, and all the traffic lights were installed a couple weeks ago.
The change was one of the recommendations from a traffic study in the downtown. The short stretch of Morrison Street south of College Avenue by the YMCA will still be a one-way street. Doran says that’s expected to change in the coming years once they reconfigure the area around Lawrence Street.
The city also converted Appleton Street into a two-way road last week.
