Family and friends of the Kaukauna boy who drowned in a retention pond earlier this week got together yesterday to celebrate the boy’s birthday.
Dylun Tapio would have turned 13.
The group gathered around the pond on Lamplighter Drive to release balloons.
His mother Tia says her family appreciates all the community support.
Despite heavy rain and wind the crowd stood their ground determined to release the balloons at 5:14 p.m, the time of the boy’s birth.
A GoFundMe account is set up to help the family and has already surpassed its goal of $2,000.
