The Oshkosh School District will form a new long-range facilities committee.
Deputy Superintendent David Gundlach expects the task force to be comprised of administrators, parents, and even students. He says they’ll present options to the school district to solve the needs of facilities in the area.
The average age of Oshkosh schools is over 75 years.
Smith Elementary was closed permanently this summer due to mold issues and a leaky roof.
Gundlach hopes to have initial recommendations on the other district facilities by October.
