Starting today there’s a new way to go from the Fox Valley to Milwaukee and Chicago.
Valley Transit general manager Ron McDonald explains an Amtrak bus will take people from Green Bay, through Appleton, Oshkosh, and Fond du Lac, ending at the Amtrak station in Milwaukee. He says from there, riders could catch a train to Chicago.
He says one way tickets cost $37, and buses leave from Appleton twice a day, early in the morning and then in the afternoon.
McDonald believes this gives people many more options. He says this is in addition to daily bus service to Milwaukee by the Lamers company.
