A lawmaker from northeast Wisconsin is behind a bill that would standardize operating while drunk offenses.
Republican Senator Andre Jacque of De Pere says the bill he’s co-sponsoring would provide more uniform penalties. He says under the current law, it is possible to have four different OWIs without any of them counting as a repeat violation
Jacque believes the bill has bi-partisan support. He hopes lawmakers will consider it in fall.
