A local 12 year old will go with about 150 other kids to talk to lawmakers about juvenile diabetes in the country’s capital this week.
Gabby Hauser of De Pere was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes about three years ago. She’s a member of the local Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation chapter. She says she wants to give them something to make the issue personal.
Hauser wants to talk about the affordability and availability. of insulin. She hopes for more funding for research to find a cure.
