A local group is hosting a historical encampment in Winneconne starting today.
The Wolf River Rendezvous didn’t have a home after Oshkosh’s Sawdust Days event shut down.
Winneconne Historical Society spokesman Joe Hoenicke thinks it fits well with what they do. He says it’s based on the old pioneer tradition of bartering and selling at the end of the season.

The event starts today and goes until Sunday. It’s at Marble Park in Winneconne.
