For the second time in about a week a neighbor is being credited with putting out a fire in Kaukauna.
Around 8 p.m. yesterday that person saw smoke coming from a detached garage in the 2400 block of Sullivan Avenue.
He ran down the block, alerted the people who live in the home, and between the two of them used garden hoses to put out the fire.
Decomposing leaves in a pile next to the garage are being blamed.
Damage is estimated at $5,000.
No one was hurt.
