A New Franken man is hoping a mailbox he put up to honor a friend who died from cancer will be returned.
John DeBauche says the uniquely shaped mailbox was made out of a Winchester shotgun shell.
He says Jim Fuller was a championship trap shooter and the shell was one he used.
He says the mailbox has a lot of sentimental value.
It was stolen on July Fourth, less than two weeks after he put it out in front of his house.
He says his friend made it and was very proud of it.
He hopes the thieves will have a change of heart and return it.
