The outer walls of the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena are coming down.
Kurt Wolfgram of Miron Construction says crews started tearing down sections yesterday afternoon. He says crews will work their way around piece by piece. He says the structure will become gradually less stable until it collapses into itself.
Wolfgram thinks it will take two to three weeks to bring down the entire building. They hope to clear the site by the end of September. Demolition work actually started a few months ago and Wolfgram says the inside is now gutted.
