The dates are in place for the special elections to fill two open seats on Appleton’s city council.
Spokesman Chad Doran says there’s a tight deadline to get on the ballot in Districts 6 and 15. He says anyone who is interested has to have their paperwork in by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16th.
The election will be on Tuesday, September 10th. If there are more than two candidates in a district there would be a primary on Tuesday, August 13th. Two council members resigned recently because they moved outside of their districts.
