A group of goats is chomping away on the Lawrence University campus in Appleton.
Students are renting 10 of them from a local company to eat weeds in the school’s sustainable garden.
Manager Floreal Crubaugh says they have about a half-acre of land. She says half is a garden, and half is a dense weed patch.
The garden is at the bottom of the Lawe Street hill. Crubaugh says they had to get permission to bring the goats into the city. The animals are expected to be there….for about a week-and-a-half.
